New Construction Naperville Home Near the Train

This home represents one of our first true fully custom builds, and years later, it continues to stand the test of time. It remains one of the projects we’re most proud to showcase when prospective clients are considering working with SG Home Builders—not just for its design, but for what it represents in our evolution as a builder.

Through this project, we gained invaluable insight into the custom home decision-making process. It reinforced the importance of guiding clients through finish selections with clarity, structure, and intention—helping them stay aligned with both their vision and their budget. This project began as a home we originally intended to build as a spec home. When the lot was sold, the clients had complete freedom to choose their builder. Being selected to bring their vision to life was both an honor and an opportunity we didn’t take lightly.

Working with these homeowners challenged us in the best possible way. Their ideas pushed us to think deeper, communicate better, and refine how we approached custom construction. Every decision required collaboration, problem-solving, and a shared commitment to getting the details right.

Looking back, this home became a foundational project for SG Home Builders.
